The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is fast upon us. This new EU data privacy regulation comes into force on May 25th. If your organization is U.S. based but has EU employees or customers, you need to pay attention to the GDPR and understand what steps your company, and specifically your HR team, must take to be compliant. Even if the regulations don’t affect your company now, HR leaders would be wise to understand the basic concepts of the regulation as they plan for the future.
